The Sendai Gender Equal Opportunity Foundation is a public-service foundation established by the City of Sendai and administers and operates “L-Park Sendai” and “L-Sola Sendai.” The Foundation is made up of three divisions; namely, a Board of Directors made up of experts in various fields, representatives from civic organizations, and municipal government officials, that has the authority to make decisions regarding the Foundation. The second group is a “Trustee,” or council, that serves in an advisory capacity and the third is the staff who serves in order to promote gender equal opportunity in Sendai and also do management of facilities.
